Delete your Triage account or data
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account, or only some of your data, in
Triage: Inbox to Tasks, the app by Smartsby, LLC on the App Store
and Google Play.
Delete your account
In the app
- Open Triage and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Sign in again to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
Email hello@smartsby.com
from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my Triage account".
We'll confirm and delete it within 30 days.
What's deleted, and what's kept
- Deleted immediately: your account and sign-in, and, for any
workspace you're the only member of, its tasks, task history, sender rules and notes,
connected mailboxes and their access tokens, any connected Todoist account, and the
workspace's encryption key.
- Shared workspaces: if you share a workspace with others, you're
removed from it and its data stays with them.
- Kept: a one-way fingerprint of each mail account you connected (it
can't be turned back into your address), so the same account can't start a second free
trial. Nothing else about you is kept with it.
- Backups: deleted data is removed from our database backups within
7 days, as they expire.
- Server logs (technical request details such as IP addresses and
timestamps) are kept for up to 30 days.
- Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel one: cancel it in Google Play → Payments &
subscriptions, or in your Apple ID's Subscriptions settings. The store keeps its own
purchase records.
Delete some data, keep your account
- A mailbox and its tasks: in Settings → Mailboxes,
tap Disconnect. Triage stops reading that mailbox and deletes the tasks
created from it, and their history, straight away.
- Todoist: in Settings, disconnect Todoist. Triage
revokes its access; tasks already in Todoist stay there.
- Anything else: email
hello@smartsby.com and tell us what you'd like
deleted.
Remove Triage at your email provider
Deleting your Triage account doesn't remove Triage from your Google or Microsoft account's
list of connected apps. Disconnect your mailboxes first, or remove Triage in your Google
Account's "Third-party apps & services", your Microsoft account's app permissions, or
Fastmail's settings. Uninstalling the app on its own doesn't delete your account.
More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
